okay i had this thought that maybe since we still dont know arata’s status mAYBE WE’LL GET TO SEE HIM THIS ARC IF TOUKA IS ARRESTED?

imagine them being confined in rooms next to each other, and touka hearing from the other rooms whispers of the names of their family, since Arata is constantly haunted by his failure to protect them.
imagine Touka calling out from the other room to him, asking him if he’s who she thinks he is, and when he doesn’t really answer, goes ‘Dad? It’s Touka, is it you?’ hesitantly, and immediately Arata is sitting next to the wall, asking why she’s here, id she’s okay, is Ayato, etc. Touka can hear him cry from his cell.
imagine Touka telling him she got married, that she’s having a baby - if she’ll escape before her sentence, at least.
Arata is absolutely shocked, now knowing he will have a grandchild - and the day her sentence is due, he makes sure to use every bit of power left in him, to at least protect her and his grandchild, at least this once.
